Forge dv's with stock charge pipe
Anyone ran in into some trouble doing it ? I know it'll fit perfect and all, but anyone detected that it maybe more leak prone that way ? Thanks

Well, I run the new type Forge DV's and I had nothing but trouble with boost leaks from both connectors, and I had a "professional" put them in. The fit was simply put: terrible. They wouldn't lock correctly into the stock chargepipe, and moved around, blowing partially out under even relatively low boost/pressure. And yes, I did check the O-rings, and ensure that the lock-ring was turned correctly.
Only after buying and installing an aftermarket chargepipe did I get rid of the boost leaks.

I am using the "new type" w the stock charge pipe..I had a pro put em in b/c I was worried about boost leaks as well..1 yr no issues..i find that there is more of a tendency for leak w an aftermarket charge pipe than w the stock one

I had some 30FF codes with the green springs (standard), but that all went away with the yellow springs installed.

My issue was...under 10 minutes the charge pipe snapped in half. I would suggest getting the STETT charge pipe or something similar due to fact that aluminum. The price of the BMW pipe is very close to an aftermarket one.

That's weird, ran my chargepipe up to 19psi with no issues. However one of my dv's is slightly leaking.

Stock charge pipe with forge DVs. No issues here either. I had no issues with stock DVs either, but I got an amazing deal from Forge directly, so I could not let it pass.
