Anyone looking to buy a Rear view camera or Video on iDrive kit for their E9X?

As the title says...

If anyone has iDrive and is possible interested in the Modmynav kit please let me know...It taps into OEM screen to allow you to play videos from your iphone...also displays Rear camera when in reverse with guidelines and you have the option to split screen etc...

We are trying to get a group of people together to buy so we can get a discount...so send me a PM for details if your interested and we can all help each other save a few bucks!!

Have a good day...

Please check out http://www.modmynav.com for more detailed information, video demonstrations, faq, normal pricing, etc..

It's a cool kit. Easily one of my top mods on the car. With the reverse camera, it's perfect parking, every time. Doesn't matter if it's parallel parking on a hill, backing into my lift-style garage spot, etc.
Oh, and a fun tip--If you changed your license plate lights to LED, you can see the ground when the camera is on so it helps with backing up at night too.

If I weren't selling my CIC retrofit, I would've put my name on the list to get the CIC version.

Yeah I cant wait for this thing! Im used to always being able to have aftermarket headunits in my cars that play music videos..but have only been able to play music in the 335i so it sucks..Anyways this groupbuy should go through so hopefully I will be ready to go soon!! Sourphish why are you selling rims and your CIC kit are you selling your car too?

Nah, just cleaning out my room since they take up space and trying to get some funds back. I realllllly want to install my CIC and and stuff, but then it'd be difficult to sell the CCC and I guess I feel guilty about spending so much on the CIC when I already have a perfectly working CCC navigation. On the other hand, if I didn't have navigation / i-drive to start with I would've installed it.

Yup, that's that this is all about! As long as you have i-drive.

As long as you have a Nav unit you can use the module, the camera is aftermarket and replaces one of your license plate lights.

Thats amazing! I would definitely be in for buying one! Is it hard to install? Does it void your warranty?

Modmynav's unit replaces your trunk handle. You still get to use the trunk handle like how you normally use it, but the space is a little smaller to accommodate the camera.

Install isn't that difficult, but you do have to run the wires from the trunk, under the seats, through to your i-drive in the front so you'll have to remove the trim as well.

With regards to warranty, as with ANY modification done to the car, the risk is always there that it CAN void warranty if your SA is in a bad mood and BMW can prove that the related modification directly caused your issue.
e.g. if you installed LED license plate light bulbs, they can't say that your engine blew up because of that. But they may try to ding you for any electrical issues or shorts that you may have.

I am interested in either your CCC or CIC - I will be doing a nav retrofit on our 328i (I have experience retrofitting BMW's). I am new so I can't PM - but can you PM me?

Hey, I can't PM you either because you don't have a high enough post count yet. You can email me at sin[dot]phish[at]gmail and we can discuss it further
