FBO and Aftermarket warranty?

Anybody have a positive experience with aftermarket warranty coverage? Any good companies out there? I'm debating whether I should get BMW's extended warranty plan or find a reputable 3rd party insurer. My dealer said modifications are not as much of a problem after the initial warranty runs out..which leads me to believe the dealership themselves use a 3rd party insurance company themselves.

Opinions?

Thank you!

Bump... I'm now looking into getting the exact same thing. A good aftermarket warranty that is fine with FBO

As long as your dealer explains to the company that the issue isn't caused by the aftermarket parts, they should cover it. It's all in the wording. Trust me, I know.

Ok in that case does anyone know of any aftermarket warranties that cover the main things that go wrong on the 335's. Waterpump, injectors, etc..

I bought the United Autocare extended warranty through BMW and just had my wastegates replaced at a local shop under warranty with no issues. And I am FBO. It all depends on the shop you go to. If you find a reputable local shop you are good to go. Most won't care what modifications you have.
