Go get the ETS one. Same gauge and 1/2 the price. I just installed it in my 09 E90 this weekend. Only problem was with 03/09 Production is BMW removed the cigarette lighter/ashtray so the gauge always stay lit as if the lights where turned on. Other then that; not bad at all and a nice mod.

But they show a calculated boost reading. psi vs psig- run a V5 @ high altitudes and compare it to a known good gauge....your readings will jot match. Just as an FYI

No argument their. Although I dont think the OP needs to worry about altitude in FL

Get the new Rixster boost gauge with CANbus access. It doesn't come more refined and stock-like than that.

Yes, but if you're running a piggyback, it won't read "true" boost off the CANbus. You'll have to run a run a line through the firewall if that's what you want.

Best gauge on the market IMO is the p3 cars v2..super clean OEM look.

Reads Boost, Air temp, Coolant Temp, Battery V, EGT, 0-60 times, Shift Light AND it reads and clears codes..

To read boost accurately you have to tap the vacuum line..no getting around that.

Hey OP, I have installed a few of these. If you are set on it then the install is not too bad. Most difficult thing for a first timer is drilling the hole in the correct position right behinf the gauge as well as getting the assembly back together and having it sit correctly. After that the wiring is easy. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Sorry but I believe you are misinformed. You run the boost line anyway to get true accurate boost pressure in the manifold. You can also hook up two extra 5v input signals to the boost gauge.

Ya, I thought the Rixster V2 boost gauge reads boost through CANbus via the OBDII port?

The V1 boost gauge reads off the manifold/CP because you HAVE to tap into the vacuum hose.......no?

The v2 reads boost measure at the manifold by tapping the vacuum tee as well..this is the only way to measure boost accurately..its an analog reading..the rest of the gauge reads through the OBDII - digital

I'm not talking about the OG rixster analog boost gauge.....I'm talking about the digital V1 and V2 boost gauges......

I saw them demonstrating that the V2 (digital) gauge reads off CANbus, and the V1 (also digital) does not.....

+1. Same here. V2 digital gauge. Comes with a pressure sensor and a vacuum line kit. You tap the Y-spitter of the DVs to get true manifold pressure.
