Which Do You Choose To Purchase An 06 Aston Martin DB9 Volante or Street Bike ?
Which should I choose ? I never owned an Aston DB9 Volante and getting a good trade-in offer right now to own one. I driven the Aston and its a blast especially with the top down hearing the Aston Martin music. And I never owned a street bike either. I hear bikes are dangerous and I have witness many bike accidents before in the past. So Im not for sure. Im going to have to take a course if I get the bike. So what would you do get the Aston Martin DB9 Volante or Street Bike ?

hmmmm...well rode two bikes before (r6 and cbr 600), once you start riding, its a different feeling but if i have an option? i would go with DB9 in a heart beat. Plus you can always get into a bike for less than 15k.

Motorbikes...lets see, my old friend and his daughter both killed in a bike crash, my neighbour a massive bike fan is currently in hospital with a broken back after coming off her bike and another friends biker brother seriously injured in hospital. All in the last month.
Take the Aston. |

Since you asked…you need to avoid bikes as your probably not an avid biker. In my opinion biking isn’t a casual endeavor, if you really want to get into it get a trainer something like a 250cc that’s low and slow and wear all the gear all the time.
There is a saying that goes something like “it’s not if, but when and how bad”… |

Street bikes are very exhilarating to ride but a major factor in riding on the street is riding within your skill level. A lot of folks can't resist twisting that throttle a little too far - just enough to get into a situation that they don't or can't get out of. The other factor over which you have no control no matter what your skill level is other drivers. Depending where you live, you may just be playing Russian roulette every time go you for a ride. I had a Hayabusa and sold it shortly after moving to South Florida for that reason (always rode in full leather gear too, even on those 90+ degree days).
If you want a bike, consider getting a lower displacement bike and using it only on a closed circuit after getting very thorough instruction/training. And always, be modest about your riding abilities. Regardless of what we all comment, it's your choice. |

Cousin was in a coma and almost died from a driver not seeing the bike. Friend grabbed too much throttle and he technically died on the way to the hospital but they brought him back (he's ok now). Car back out a driveway and hit a Coworker on a bike. If it went onto dirt bikes, the list would be longer...the things a crazy awesome/dangerous.
However I wouldn't trade in the M3 for a 5 year old car |

I know it's an Aston. We all love Aston's here particularly Vantage's. Sounds like you have a wonderful opportunity to pick up a fine wine of the automotive industry. If I'm not mistaken Top Gear reviewed that exact same model and year on one of their older shows. I remember Hammond talking about how bad cowl shake was on the car due to the roof being gone. Make sure you do your research and good luck with your decision.

did you choose the 06 because its the cheapest and you can afford it?
if so, dont get the aston, because the repairs will put you in the poor house. |
