Depends on what you mean by "Is this for real".

If it's "Are you saying an M3 is going to cost $100K in the U.S.?" then the answer is no.

If it's "Are you saying an M3 will cost 50,000 British Pounds Sterling" then the answer is probably.

You have to realize that pricing is different for different countries...it's not just a matter of converting U.S. dollars into X countries currency.

I have found in my time living here in the U.K. the typical pricing scheme is to "erase" the dollar since from prices and replace it with the Pound Sterling sign. which...at todays 2 us dollars equals one pound sterling....effectively doulbes the price.

Just as a comparison. My 335i cost 42K us....the same car sells here in the U.K. for 37,ooo Pounds...or roughly 75,ooo U.S. dollars.

Nope...I don't doubt they are going to charge 50K Pounds over here. Like I said in my post...my 335 costs about 37ish K Pounds over here...another 13K pounds for an M3 doesn't sound unreasonable IMO.

Aint' no way it's worth that much coin. I am very happy with the car I am getting and cannot justify the extra $$.

No, they meant pounds. RS4 is like 49k base in the UK and only 67k base here. You can't do a straight conversion since Europe has such high taxes, etc. Based on this I'd say it will start at around 65k here.

i'm thinkin the price for the US will be 54,995-55,500... This is 15k more

than the 335i E92 (Base Prices). and 5-6k more than the E46 M3 right?? Loaded, the

M3 should be right under 70k

I think plus or minus 60 grand. Probably close to 70 when they first come out with markup.

Not sure why people can't get over pricing differentials. A mansion in TX costs 200k. A studio in San Fran costs 700k. Is it surprising? Shocking? Amazing? Not really. A household in Philly only spends 19% towards mortage payments. Try over 50% in Cali., LA being the worst. What does that imply? Well, not only is housing expensive, but the salary doesn't make up for it as it does in San Fran. So a 335 costs 75k USD in the UK. Nothing to write home to daddy about.

That is so expensive! I guess the ratio of M3s to regular coupes will be more drastic now.

Well hopefully one of the number is right...it does say 50,000 pounds but in parenthesis it says 69,000 dollars so I am assuming that the dollars number is correct...which still seems steep for the coupe version.

but then again the e92 coupes all had a price increase

When the e92 335's came out everyone was like holy crap its 50k loaded...oh the times they are a changing...i feel so old. I bought my first car for 3200.
