Tire Sizes for 230 OEM rims on 335i?

Hi Guys,

I'm shopping around for new tires on my 08 335i.. currently have 4 Bridgestone Potenza RFT's 225/35/19 on front, 265/35/19 on rears. I'm looking to buy used (80% tread or better) but its difficult to find the right size and RFT's since I mainly want to change the front tires right now. Does anyone know the range of sizes you can put on the 230 OEM rims. I believe they're 19x8 on the front, and 19x9 on the rear.. I heard recommended width on rears are 9.5" and I guess 8.5" on front.

Anyway just wondering if anyone knows what the min/max is for that specific rim because I saw some good deals for 245/40/19 but not sure if that would fit on the front rims. I'm also thinking about upping it from a 35 to 40 since I mainly drive around the GTA which is pothole galore. Thoughts?
