Where can I get the CIC Firmware updated

As the title really I'd like to get the CIC iDrive firmware updated and I'd like to know where I can get it done and how much it should be. I'm in the Yorkshire area but I don't mind travelling within reason.

They didn't seem keen and from what I've read they charge excessive labour even though it just needs to sit there connected to the computer.

Anyway it's now booked in at Darren Wood.

I want to get the CCC firmware updated on my 2005 E90. The dealer quoted quite a lot.

Where is the best place to go for this? Do independent specialists do the same job as dealers? How much did Darren Wood charge?

I'm in Yorkshire too.

Might have been a plan to retro fit CIC at the time?

So do new cars have 7 digit postcode search then? My LCI doesn't, which I agree is rubbish.

ps.. what does CIC stand for?

You should have mentioned it mate, I have all the parts sat here to get it up and running again.
The main board, which is the bit that would have failed I could have done you for £100.

Also, they shouldn't have put a whole new CCC in your car, the unit is split in 3 parts, CD drive, DVD drive and the main board, all in snap together cases.
