Alternatives to Michelin Runflats

Hi there

No doubt this question has been asked before but can anybody recommend alternatives to the OEM 255 x 35 - 18" Michelins fitted to the rear of my 320d. I am happy to replace runflats with runflats but possibly from a cheaper but manufacturer. With these Michelins costing over £300 each there must be viable alternatives that do not compromise handling, wear etc.

Some owners I have spoken to recommend a non runflat and to carry a tyre sealing foam but what about the potential problems with insurance companies should the car be involved in an accident?

Any help appreciated

Regards

The fancy new Toyo Sports are half the price, non runflat too:

You can buy a "tyre slime" kit that comes complete with a pump for less than £30 and unlike the foam products it won't render you tyre useless.
