It takes 10 mins to put it up and take it down and they custom fit the car nicely. For anyone looking to pick up the parts I found them here for a pretty good price http://bmw.autowebaccessories.com/ I am turned on by having nice car that will also fit my life style. I can take it out for a nice Sunday Brunch and then turn around and mount the bikes and head for some of my favorite hills. Am I alone here?

I have the same rack for my e92, only difference I have my racks alternating. I have the handlebars of one toward the front, the others toward the back. In doing so, I ensure that they don't smack because of the wind when driving. Of course, that's just me, paid too much for an Cannondale to have it scratched up, do enough damage on the trails.

how easy is it to remove the roof rack? it doesn't exactly add to the visual aesthetic of the car.

I can take the roof rack down in about 2 mins. I know it does not add to the car and for that reason I wanted a roof rack that came down quickly. When I add a 3rd bike I will put it in the center and turn it the other direction.

Those who have to use the E92 to carry things, or tow things, there's nothing wrong with it, but it's just not for everyone..my .02 |
