Microfilter during service

Is it true that PRE-LCI cars have the microfilter changed when it needs doing whereas Post LCI have it done with an oil change by default?

Sounds like a good excue to fleece the customer of more money each service...

Having said that, I'd change it every year anyway - but I wouldn't pay someone for the priviledge!
