2007 330i - supply own oil
Whats the situation with dealers here....I can get GM dexos2 5w/30 for £40..
On the bottle it does say BMW LL-04 approved.. Can they refuse to use it as it isn't on their system? I'm not sure as all I see is it's the right grade and its ll04 approved... Any idea on whether I should ditch the oil or stick up for it... |

What volume is that for? If it is for 5l then it's not that cheap compared with opie oils.

That is cheap. Not sure of the answer but so long as it is LL04 I would imagine it would be ok. If you have a Sytner near you you can pm anneka on this board and ask her.

I've supplied my own oil at dealer services before, just told them the oil I wanted to use was in the boot and left them to it.
They didn't seem to have any problem with that. |

Nope
Unfortunately this oil isn't on the published BMW list so we will not use it in a service at our dealerships. We're aware that you are happy to accept the oil as being suitable for the car, however using it is not a risk that we are willing to take. |
