Yokohama ad08 for max grip, Michellin pss or bridgestone s04 for really good grip with durability and hankook v12 for bang for your buck.
That would be my vote. |

Given it's a 325 he doesn't need max grip....
Continental ExtremeContactDW OR Michelin Pilot Super Sport (aka Michelin PSS) can't go wrong with either of those. |

Hey guys,
Get a cost effective tyre that a good allrounder like the Kuhmo KU31 Exsta Spt. Mine were cheap as and they seem to be good treads. Well good enough to handle my D D D Diesel

What are you after - what's your driving style, how important is comfort? What sizes do you need - are they mixed BMW OEM wheels on an E92 or aftermarket? And most importantly, what is your budget?

Mate,
If you drive normal you dont need to buy these top name brands that are a waste of money and wont last long. I work at Kumho Tires in Glendenning the top brand is the KU39 they are just as good I can get 265/30/19 $280 Bob Jane T-M $450 (R) $300 (F) 235/35/19 $180 |

Do you have the tyre and rim insurance? i do and that is one of the factors that is making me consider staying with run flats when they are up for replacement.

I had Hankooks on my E46 and now I have KU31's on the 335.
I think the KU31's are better. They have more grip than the OEM runflats. |

I'm only running on KU31s because the conti DW was out of stock in the 19" size when I wanted them months ago. I'll probably try the contis next.

Not Run Flats
I think run flats are great for your wife and that's it.
I took the family. my wife and son on a trip from Cairns in the far north of Austraila to Adelaide in the south via Alice Springs in the centre. It was great untill we got to Coober Pedy in South Australia. Well we were about 100 kilometres south of Coober Pedy when the tyre warning iluminated on the dash. Wow in the middle of nowhere. I pulled over and found that I must had picked up a nail in one of the rear tyres. I looked at the navigation system and there was what we thought was a town a fair way ahead which turned out to be only a water tank and emergancy mobile phone reception. By that time a bit of the wire was starting to protude from the tyre. Anyway I descided to attempt to get to the next town called Glendambo. We didn't make it. Anyway to cut a long story short and leaving the family on the side of the road while I had to hitch hike to Port Augusta with my tyre and rim. I now have a slime kit and non runflats and a 12v pump. |

I was hoping your story was going to include the use of the slime. While I think slime is a fantastic idea (I bought the pump/goo kit with the idiot proof big green button) I don't know anyone who has actually had a need to use it

I had the dealer throw in a mobility kit when I bought the car, still not sure which way I'll go when it comes time to replace the tyres.
