Stage 2 Sport -- Need Help

Hi everyone,

I've installed Stage 2 Sport this weekend, but I don't feel the extra power!
The logs seem to prove that. Moreover logging showed 2 more worrying issues that I would like to know everyone's take on.

BTW I'm sure I have stage 2 installed (double checked, and AP shows that, and 29f4/5 codes are masked).

Looking at the data, peak boost was 13.25 PSI.

Other issues that worry me:
1) after 6000 rpm, Boost falls short of Requested boost. Does this mean my turbos are going south and can't hold boost? anyway to check?

2) Cylinder 5 timing shows a drop... what is the cause of this usually? could it be the spark plug?

Boost reporting past 5k RPM on the Cobb stage 2 beta maps is inaccurate. Disregard that.

Did you log only cylinders 1 and 5? Or did you log all six? Can you post a log of all six cylinders if available?

A single drop in one cylinder isn't a big deal. When you see multiple cylinders drop timing at the same time that's when you have something to worry about.

Is Boost reporting wrong even on stage1? I should log when on stage 1 to see if I see the same issue

Yes I did log all 6, I haven't posted those because all of the curves perfectly match (overlay) except Cylinder 5.

What's your take on Stage 2 performance? Shouldn't see more boost? I mean it's exactly similar to stage 1 (from peak boost at least)

No, the boost reporting is only wrong on stage 2 beta maps. A firmware release later will resolve the incorrect boost/load reporting.

But good, if you had a drop in only one cylinder, nothing to be worried about.

seems you have throttle closure between 2800 - 3800 , that might explain the low boost on low rpm .

Guys if he had a boost leak his wgdc wouldn't be at 30%. It's a boost reporting issue. When we stage2+ guys report 18 psi, it's below 5k rpm.

If the op wants a second opinion, email Cobb. There is nothing wrong with that log.

I wish I had another log of stage 2 sport to compare with, all logs are for stage 2+

I guess I'm going to email COBB.

and mithiral67's idea is not bad either, I should give it a try

Cobb says that's not needed but experience taught me differently.

Is it the extra power over stage 1 that you are not feeling?

Cheers,

That's correct, and assuming I have problems feeling :P shouldn't I see more boost? I mean I see the same with stage 1 Sport may be even less than stage 1.

Thanks!
