Just got pulled over for my tint...

Was following my wife home after picking up her car from the detail place, and got pulled over.

Guy put his tint-o-meter on my glass, and it read 6%, well over the 23% +/-3...

After we had a chat he told me that if I got pulled over again, I may get a ticket... Then he said "it's just one of those things lol"
Didn't get a warning either...

Its not a MIAMI DADE thing... First hand I have noticed that cops here dont care anymore about tints. Practically all cars have them, I have 5% all around pulled over twice for other things and never even mentioned the tints. I think in Central and Northern FL you have more of a conservative old school cop way of thinking. Just my 2Cents!

I have 20% in the back windshield and on the quarter panel windows, 50% on the front windshield and 30% on the door windows so when they do test it I will pass.

Was pulled over last week for the same thign as the OP but pass the his device testing.

i got 15% all around and 35% on the windshield, and got pulled over for the windshield well over a year ago by a gay, wanna be SWAT type of badass...he wanted to bus me for all my windows but didnt have a meter, so instead he gave me one for the windshield....since then, because of that ticket, now ever cop that pulls me over wants to check my damn winshield...but since then i never had a problem with it, as long as i dont do something stupid on the road to bring attention to myself..

drive in miami beach with tints it never fails with me regardless what im driving or who us driving they are always giving me grief. never had a problem in broward

Maybe I'm lucky, but driving around with 5% for the past few years and have never been pulled over in Miami-Dade.

I always assumed they had better things to do.

I never had an issue in Miami Beach, knock on wood. I have 10% all around in the benz and 15% in the bimmer.

if that even exists, its not enough to satisfy the requirements of the state for a medical exemption.

Dont feel bad I had 5% all around and got pulled over for speeding and the state trooper wanted to be a douche bag and was like roll up your windows, It was really overcast that day and he put his meter on and was like 2.7%, under my breath i was like hell yea thats dark lol...so 347 for the speeding, and another 110 per window for 2 windows. It was an expensive day...

I was driving to dinner, by far the most expensive meal i ever paid for im still paying for it because the window tint made my insurance go up even tho considered a non moving violation its still on my MVR.
