Possible SES malfunction?

SES randomly comes on and goes off. Today it came back on, I scanned it and there were no codes...Any ideas?

What? There should be stored faults. What did you use to scan your car?

And is the light flashing at start up?

peake, inpa and generic OBDII scanner....
no, it stays solid yellow
