dtc question

abs, dtc, and brake lights were lit up, took it to the dealer and had it fixed.

before it went in and prior to the lights coming on when i'll held down DTC button for five seconds it turned off DTC and a pic of a back of a car with S shapped burn out marks came on. And that was since the last update maybe 5 months ago, before that when DTC was off the tringle with the circle around it lit up.
My question is why am i back to the old, tringle/circle, light when i got my car back today.
i was told updates can't be undone so.....was woundering what's the deal
if they updated it again while in this time why would the old lights come up?

maybe they updated to newest software which has the old light symbol ? As long as the car runs fine i would not care about a symbol.
