TPMS on my '07 now tells me which tire is low? Is this new?

I did a quick search and didn't find anything, but this morning it was under 40 degrees and I got a (false) low tire warning on my '07 e92 due to the large change in ambient temperature, and my TPMS warning actually pointed to the front left tire in the warning message:

In previous years when I've gotten these false positives, I simply got a warning icon similar to this:

I've only had my car in once for the HPFP software update, but did that update anything else such as the TPMS notifications?

My 06 doesn't tell me which tire it is, but I like that! Not sure of the '07, but my car doesn't have the 'real' TPMS, but instead uses the ABS system instead.

Exactly. My '08 128i also began pinpointing the offending tire after a software update. But I still would like to see an actual psi readout for each tire!

I noticed this feature on my '07 after my last software update in March '10. (this was the software load that brought the LPFP online to prime the fuel system).

My early 08 didn't display which tire until the dealer updated the software in april when I had the injector recall performed and they replaced 4 of 6 that were out of spec.
