What is this warning light?
Is this the coolant or windshield wiper fluid? It looks like it could be windshield wiper fluid because it looks like a windshield and a fluid being sprayed out but iunno, its german.

Seriously? I can admit some of the symbols are a little difficult to figure out, but this one is very clear. If it was your coolant I don't think they would have a picture of it spraying up on a windshield. No offense op but this is a case of

you waste your time taking a picture, downloading to your computer and posting it...when your sitting in your car with the manual in your glovebox...to ask what the most basic symbol that needs no explanation means. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

I do not have the manual yet, the dealer is mailing it, still. On my home computer I downloaded it but that is 100 miles away. And it is faster to upload on my buddies computer than download it. Not like I was gonna do anything about it last night anyhow. I just remember someone posting a picture here what a warning light was which turned out to be the coolant and it looked similar to the windshield wiper fluid light. I was sitting in my buddies driveway unplugging my ipod and stuff so I immediately turned my car off thinking it could be coolant. I'm sorry for pissing you guys off but I was just concerned. And thank you to those that helped.

Ndog, I recommend stopping by a dealer and buying BMW Washer Fluid with Antifreeze. It's a concentrate that you mix with water which cleans very well. It also has an aroma which some of us find to be quite pleasant - although perhaps we need to get out more!
Also, if you have headlight washers, the fluid reservoir is quite large at 6 liters. Tom |

+1 every week some goof spends all this time taking a pic and posting a thread when all they had to do was look in the back of their manual where every symbol and its explanation is available...

Your right, but this symbol is for the op's taillight washers. Just pop the trunk open the washer fluid and fill the trunk, the light will eventually go out.
