Found this on Jalopnik, has anyone here seen it in person?

Three months ago we introduced you to a ghost BMW dealership in Canada abandoned since 1988. The next day, we introduced you to its owner. Today we learn that the dealership, including the rotting cars inside its plate-glass walls, are up for sale, and can be yours for $3.6 million.

The dealership's owner, who isn't exactly the chatty type, is looking to cash in on new-found attention (by stories like the one we and others ran back in August) to the dealership, which has been sitting untouched for two decades in the small town of Oakville, Ontario.

If you'll remember, the boys at the MaxBimmer forums and at Endras, a local BMW dealership, discovered that in 1988 the dealer, operating under the name "Citation Motors," had its license revoked for unknown reasons. They then moved to Toronto under the name "Downtown BMW" which in 2002 closed up shop.

The owner, apparently a well-to-do businessman, seemed to have little interest in selling the place, or even the inventory, considering that everything's been left intact. As we said before, one hundred percent frozen in time is the only fitting description for this place.

We're assuming the $3.6 million price includes the two cars on the showroom floor and all the vehicles in the service bay, as well as the underground level, which would make a great theater to watch car movies on a giant screen.

If it were us, we'd buy it, take over the garage, build that theater and turn the rest of the place into the largest damn Tim Horton's the world has ever known. What say you, eh?

Unbelievable ... wish I was 20 years younger I'll get it and make it a BMW ~ Tim Horton's and build a track behind the place

by God there are enough BMW's in Ontario

Does anyone have the address ... I like to make a drive by one day on my way to Toronto ???

What do you think fellows ///M Drivers ... some fellow(s) should purchase this place and make something out of it ... perhaps a joint venture ... Bar & Grill in the service bay ... coffee shop, special parts department including mods dealership representations

so many possibilities ... how can someone just lock the doors 30 years ago and forget about this place ... sureley he/she must have had money to burn

Goes to show you how times have changed ... no one would walk away for this today.

What a story this is ... anyone seen it in real life?

The funny thing is the e28 in the show room looks exactly like my e28 535is 1987 in my garage

I just restored mine changed front fenders, bumpers and rocker panel after 418,000 + KM bet the one in the show room has less then 50 KM on it ...

One could make it a Specially ///M Division Centre ... selling all kinds of ///M mods and stuff showing old movies in the basement ... training for weekend mechanics in the service bays ... build a nice track behind the place for weekend fun ... yes to be young again and have the money to do it all would be great ...

tried finding the address, but no luck. i dont mind taking a look at this place. heck , if we have an address we should have a meet up there lol

I would not mind to invest some cash in this place ... a bunch of us can make it a "Limited Partnership" under Canadian and US laws

think of the opportunities this place holds alone the story and the nostalgia (spelling?) of it all ...

Shares anyone ... ? let's do something ... remember it's only money we cannot take it with us for "the last shirt has no pockets" it could be our place away from home hehehe

That is a pretty sweet idea Rolf if you could get the right people together, to pull it off. If I was closer to the area I wouldn't mind putting in a share but that's a little far for me to go play
