what happen to Toyota Tercel
Why did toyota stop making the tercel? I am sure it is an ideal car in today's high gas price. Maybe they replaced it with one of the hybrid. Just wondering out loud.

markerting move, iirc they replaced the tercel (name and car) with the echo to jazz up the entry level offering. Toyota felt they were getting perceived as stodgy...but they went on ahead with Scion anyways. Too bad, Tercel had a lot of brand equity albeit boring ones but it was synonymous with economical and reliable at the very least.
