Bi-Xenon conversion possible?
Hi guys
New to the forum, I have the perfect F20 but the only thing it's missing is Bi-Xenon's (with headlamp washer system). I don't have adaptive headlights. What are the chances of a BMW dealer being able to install these for me? (without breaking warranty) I'll give them a call tomorrow but just wanted to see what you guys had to say ! Thanks Last edited by cocopanda; 11-13-2011 at 10:31 AM.. |

Dealers seem to think its going to be very costly and mess with motor plan. One mentioned no after market kits available yet?
Surely ordering an OEM replacement set (as if accident damage) and getting someone to install them would do the trick? Not sure what the situation on the rear brake lights would be, replaced as well or just LED installation? I tried browsing through www.realoem.com was slightly confusing. Can anyone shed some light on the process? |

They can do it (I had done it in my Facelift Z4, which had no retrofit kit), but it is going to be very expensive, since they need:
1. Lights (the whole unit, with bulbs, ballasts, ignitors, etc.) 2. Height Adjustment control arms 3. Light washers 4. Light Switch. All these parts are around 2.000 Euro in Germany. On top of that, you need programming and of course labour costs.
