My clutch is slipping badly and will like to replace it with the ACT Street.
For those of you running aftermarket clutch, did you also replace the flywheel?

I got the SPEC lightweight aluminum flywheel with my spec clutch. their flywheel is 12 or 13lbs compared to 30+lbs stock. The car revs very quickly and its a great combo, but because of this there is clutch rattle. Nothing pressing in the clutch pedal at the stoplight can't fix but next time I do it I'll be getting something that makes less noise

I think you should definitely replace the flywheel too. I am one example which replaced the clutch with another OEM one and it slips after 5k miles. I know someone that replaced the clutch with Sachs Performance and it slipped in 2k miles. The replaced with an ACT and slipped very shortly after. I think the flywheel needed to be changed.

Don't waste your ACT clutch.

Same here. The dual-mass flywheel is not bulletproof, could be prone to failure. With the labor it takes to R/R the trans, the flywheel should be put into the budget to save headaches in the future. Especially if you're tuned.

8lbs? not THAT much lighter as opposed ACT which is 20lbs lighter. OP I am replacing my flywheel with the streetlite one and stg2 clutch soon. If you haven't done it yet I will let you know how it feels. With my other cars I have always replaced the flywheel, you might as well since its right there. Could save you a major headache later.

It may not fit. There's a discussion in another thread - someone tested it with a 2006 build car and it didn't work. It may work for newer build cars, that needs to be verified though.
