Retrofit side mirror (From non-heated to heated)

It's getting cold and my side mirrors always gets fog droplet on it in the morning. I'm thinking about upgrade the mirrors to the heated veresion.

Question: Is this just a simple plug and play mirror swap?? Anyone done this and input please.

The fact that the voltage is regulated depending on temp and wiper position implies one of the computers is involved, meaning it would need to be coded and the correct connections would need to be made to the computer as well.
