OEM Xenon Bulb
After flickering a couple of times on my way home from work last night, this morning my drivers side Xenon bulb appears to have expired.
Am I correct in thinking it's a D1S bulb I need? Its on a pre LCI E90... Thanks Nick |

Thanks for the info guys,
Unfortunately it appear it's not the bulb at fault but the Ballast/Control Unit - which looks as it it will be £300 from BMW unless I can find an alternative source! I have seen some sites selling ballasts which they claim can be used to replace OEM units at a considerably reduced price - does anyone have any experience of these? http://www.convert2xenon.co.uk/oem-x...n-ballast.html http://www.convert2xenon.co.uk/xenon...t-igniter.html http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/hid-bal...115-p-633.html Last edited by NickP; 11-25-2011 at 11:59 AM.. Can't answer your question but may be worthwhile keeping an eye on ebay. Some breakers often sell headlights complete with a ballast and as they are a single lamp they often go cheap. Worth keeping an eye
