small screw on suspension turret e93
took the e93 to have the suspension setup was a tight wad and took it to a tyre place instead of bmw £300 v £72 admit is better but tyre bloke said there is a tiny screw on each turret that has to be loosened in order to adjust the camber he says he was unable to loosen the screw he did however manage to round it out bmw say its not available separately and comes as part of the top mount ive tried moving it but it appears to be solid anyone have experience of this
ive also tried moving the screw on the e92 and this doesnt want to move either although it must have been when the perf suspension was fitted Last edited by acerboo; 11-26-2011 at 11:33 AM.. |

No idea but I use BMW wakefield who have a fixed price off £120 all in to get other dealers to beat which they usually do.
Ends up being £115 all in which is usually less headache than dealing with a hunter specialist. This place is responsible for fixing your car, hope you didn't pay them.

You cannot remove them mate.
It does have a hex in the top, but its firmly spun in there and I suspect the hex is just so a tool can be used to fit it at the plant. I have a new one on the bench here as it happens. Its not designed to be removable. It is a locating dowel, so the top mount always goes back in the same place. You can cut & drill it out completely though, this is quite common, and the top mount three studs are in slotted holes allowing camber adjustment. That pin itself is not adjustable at all. There is not a lot of camber movement to be gained there, maybe 15' at best? If your camber is way out of spec then I would suggest something is bent, or the LCAs need attention etc (bushes shot?)
