Smile PLEASE CHIME IN!!!! asap

Ok my little brother just got his licenses (he got it on the first try) and is ABSOLUTELY thrilled to get his first car. He wants a 335i but I told him at this point in is life he can't get one ( he actually could get one because he work 3 jobs and like 16hr days but it would be cutting it close and I don't want him to become stressed or broke over a car. But we saw a few 2001-02 325/330i, he say he likes them alot. Could someone please chime in and tell me about these cars as far as reliability and maintenance the price for these car are around 7-8.5k which seems pretty good, and do you think this would make a good and reliable first car. please tell me as much as you can about these cars because he wants to go test drive and hopefully buy one this Monday.

Get him an e90 335d. It's safer than a car built in 2001, will get great gas mileage, and will be fun to drive, but not so powerful that a kid who just got his license will immediately kill himself in it... hopefully.

Don't stress the choice because it'll be wrapped around a tree in 2 months anyway. 318/323/325 IMO.

Get a manual 2006 325i. Yes it has 215 Hp but after a year of learning on it he can put an exhaust on it then put in a stage 3 intake manifold. It would be faster then a 330i because its lighter and has more aggressive gearing. It would also destroy a 328i

Please quit judgin my brother, he's been driving for quite awhile since 16 and is now just getting his license at 19, so don't assume he just now started driving plus he's gone to BMW driving school twice in SC so.........

Hahaha and I laughed at this because I won against a 330i manual. 30-100mph it was a joke really and we both started out in the same gear I was pulling away each of the 4 times.

Just being honest, and Ill judge him for as long as I want being that I have already lived the part of life which he is living. Assuming that you guys have been in the car with him while driving in the past then this will be his first "free" license at which point the game totally changes. Even the intermediate license has limitations. Assuming that he has been driving solo, well that's three years of unlicensed driving. No respect deserved.

I can just imagine your face when you lose to a 325i. Anyway next time think before you talk and watch out for 325i's on the road.

My first car was an audi Quattro in 1988, hand me down from my brother with 98999 miles on it... 0 to 60 was something like 15 seconds lmao... Dude, let him buy whatever he wants as long as it's a safe car and he can afford it.
