bov help!

im installing a bov and the little plastic piece that sticks out that you connect the vacuum line up to (on the engine side, not on the bov) broke off when i pulled off the stock line... what should i do? is this important?

Yes, it's definitely important. That vacuum line operates the opening and closing of the BOV. You will also have a vacuum leak if you don't thread and tap a new port where you broke it off.
