Sprintbooster mod, “smartest” gadget on your car

Check this out:

http://www.sprintbooster.gr/en/index...d=12&Itemid=31

" It is a device that improves acceleration by continuously measuring and converting the digital signal provided by the ECT’s potentiometer, and providing the ECM with a new and altered signal. "

I hope its not a repost.

Sounds like it basically just alters the voltage being output by the throttle. So, instead of the ECU reading 50% throttle at 50% it reads 55% at 50% or something along those lines. I think I'll just push the pedal that extra 5%.

Unless it some how speeds up the sample rate of drive by wire system. Then it might be cool.

So when you are WOT does it give 105%? I think I like the idea of pressing the throttle 50% and getting 50% throttle. I've never heard of anything like this before though.

Sounds like the sport button on the M3. I never used it because it made the throttle too sensitive. WOT is WOT whether you use this thing or not, so I don't see how it would be very useful.

I definitely don't see it making more power in anyway shape or form. It has nothing to do with engine management.

I guess I could believe better throttle response depending on how that gets relayed back to the ECU. I don't know the working of a drive by wire so, I can't day for sure though. I would imagine it's just some type of rotary potentiometer.

Sounds pretty dumb to me, I'd rather push the gas 5% further.

OK, so elaborate. Does it some how increase the sampling rate for the throttle channel? I would think that would be up to the ECU not the pedal though.

When it says it works by altering the voltage that just sounds like it's telling/fooling the ECU throttle is depressed more than it really is though.

They say nothing in the video presentation + they present it on some lousy Seat... imho it's a bullshit. No way I'd put s/t like this into a 335i
