Take out the JB4 ?
hi everyone, my 2007 335 has been misfiring a lot lately and I think it might be the hpfp so I\'m gonna take it to BMW since its still covered. do you guys think I should just put the jb4 on map 0 or take it out since I they find it they might void the warranty on that ? thanks everyone!!

It's not worth taking the risk and just take it out.

This literally must be the 4-5 thousandth thread with your exact topic.
Yes take it out, they will try to blame everything on the tune no matter what. If your tire is low they will say " well you are driving with to much hp thats why their low, their not meant for that much power" or something stupid like that.

It's done. Unanimous. Take it out. Nobody else respond.

Yes, take it out always, unless you're just going in for an oil change or brake work... New wipers, etc. if you're asking them to do any kind of trouble shooting or extensive looking around with the engine or electronics... No tuning device should be there at all.
Now with your missfires... Have you had your spark plugs in for more than 30k-40k miles? It's probably plugs causing the miss-firing. They should also inspect ignition coils and injectors.

Isn't this exactly what map 0 is for?
My understanding is switch it over to map 0 when pulling in and any dealership scanning cannot "see" the JB4. I am highly skeptical any service tech is opening up the DME for any reason other than catastrophic failure or major electrical glitches, even if then.
