Cars you'll wish you owned...
As seen on CNN:
http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2012/...P_LN&hpt=hp_c2 Thoughts? Some nice cars on there, no BMW's though

I had pretty much the same sentiments as you all.
Buick Regal? WTF? Wonder how much they paid to get their cars on this list... The 911 and the GTR, for sure. Maybe the Mustang Boss 302... maybe

Tough crowd here. Being enthusiasts, I figured there would be more appreciation for some of those cars aside from the 911 and GT-R. The Boss 302 is a fantastic track car, especially in Laguna Seca form. The TTRS is going back to the roots of the Ur Quattro with the turbo inline 5 cylinder, plus it would be a blast to drive in the dirt and snow. The 500 Abarth handles like it is on rails and would probably make a great autocross car.

All of you are missing something, those cars will be worth millions 20 years from now. Look at the Mecum Auctions sells these rare cars everyday. These are the type of cars people collect, hints the url.

Other cars are the predecessors to the small fuel efficient cars that we're going to. (e.g. FIAT) Mustang, Camaro, GT-R, 911 are common enthusiast cars here.

I'd love to own the 911, GT-R, Boss and maybe the Golf R and SRT8. I'm a bit surprised they put so many American cars in there but didn't include the GT500. Few things say "I'm buying this car just to sell it" like a Shelby.

I think the E90/2/3 M3 should definitely be on there, it might be the next E30M. E30 was the first NA M, E9x is the last. Edit: you're focusing on the innovation that made the collectibles today lucrative, but these cars may be the last of it's kind. Which will also sell, just add something different like it being the last made blah blah and it will sell.
