What percentage of BMW USA sales is x-drive?

The reason I ask is because that's all I see here in the northeast. Very rarely do I encounter a rear wheel drive BMW on the street.

I don't know any actual numbers... In the southeast, south, and CA x-drive sales are pretty minimal. Southwest and mid-west is probably higher because of mountains and snow.

In the south and southeast, you also see far few BMWs (and especially Audis) in general because relative incomes are lower and probably because culturally there is more inherent support for US car companies (they love their pickup trucks and SUVs). Obviously, big cities have there share of premium cars though.

Well, Audi's are still very popular here in the northeast. It's a hold over from years ago when Audi was the only 4WD option for european luxury vehicles. I can remember trips to Vermont and seeing tons of Audi's in the ski mountain's parking lot. No BMW's. Now, that picture has changed.

Yeah, here in the Boston area, I mostly see xi's/X-Drives. Quattros and 4motions are very popular too.

I have lived here all my life and currently on my 4th BMW, all were DDs with RWD and summer performance tires all year round. Never had a problem short of the worst Nor'easters, which is about 3 times in my 15+ years of driving.
