Talking LEA69 has a new bum! Vroom Vrooooom!

Hi guys, I finally got some pictures token today of my new rear bumper! 'Borris' the BMW has a new cat-back exhaust system with front center muffler and twin hotdogs in the rear to 4 (quads) working chrome tips. The rear diffuser has been customer cut for the quads and a new mesh installed in the rear bumper. Hope you guys like it as much as I do! It's a lot louder than my previous exhaust system but I like it. First 2 pics are from 4 weeks ago and the rest are from today. Enjoy! :rocks:

Looking good! Would be nice if you could at some point take photos of your car from "down under" so we can see the exhaust system.

The quads look good Lea. They suit the E90. I'm not sure I would have gone for the gloss black diffuser but it looks tough.

I was told by an exhaust shop that replacing just the back box make all E90's too loud and boomy. I was told it had to be a cat back system to get the most out of an exhaust upgrade and to get a good note thats not loud.

quad look really nice...are u painted the rear diffuser ? dunno why, i kinda like the matt look of the diffuser compare to the gloss one u have now.

Anyway, can you please take pics of your exhaust set-up. I will also running quad exhaust soon on my custom rear bumper. I have yet to find out how the quad exhaust should be running. Your car will give me a good idea. Thxs

I did not want to go for an aftermarket rear bar but wanted to stick with my M-sports kit so I had the cut-outs customer done on the rear diffuser/ valence. The exhaust system: front muffler removed and changed that leads to a Y piece that splits into 2 hotdogs on either side of the storage box of the boot. Then it splits into the Y piece tips. Extremely happy with the exhaust job, so very neat. Ill get around to taking some pics of the undercarriage.

I went for a high gloss shimmery black diffuser. Wanted a more aggressive look than the standard matt grey diffuser. Just bveing a little different I suppose.

I think that running quads from that IKON box you have is going to be a tough ask. There is not a lot of room from where pipes come out of the back box to the bumper. The only way you could do it is as per what Lea has done and that is to go for two seperate mufflers.
