New Owner e92 335

Hello everybody! My name is Dave and I am very new to posting. But I wanted to introduce myself. I'am the new proud owner of a 2008 335 6MT....stoked! This is my first turbo car. I've always wanted a 335. I'm coming from a 2008 128 6MT and I must state the obvious what a world of difference! Only downside is of course the day I finally take delivery of the car is the day of my court hearing for speeding tickets...THEY SUSPENDED MY LICENSE!!! It's just my luck. So I drove to pick up the car illegally I guess and drove it home. I absolutely love it, but I noticed the car needs an alignment. So I was just wondering what I should be on the lookout for and what else to expect. The car currently has just under 40,000 miles and the free maintenance and factory warranty is up the 31st of this month but it also has a bmw certified pre-owned warranty. I plan on bringing it to my dealer that I've always brought all my bimmers to (this is my 5th) as i bought it from a hyundai dealership that treated me very well. so if anyone can give me some advice or just a warm welcome I greatly appreciate any reply! Thank you

you should be on the lookout for dudes driving black and white cars with lights on top. They will try to race you. DO NOT LET THEM WIN. Please report back with updates.

Nice... why not enroll in Progressive snapshot and get some serious discounts on your car insurance while you're in disabled mode?

Oh, and congrats on the 335... definitely an upgrade from the 128!

128 with the 6 spd manual is a really fun car to drive...not as fast as the 335 but I think every bit as fun. What to look out for? well, if you got your license suspended from your shenanigans in the 128, i'd say look out for what happens when you mash the right pedal down on your 335. It will go real fast in a hurry.

Your very first purchase should be a top of the line radar detector ;D. I'd recommend either the valentine1 or escort redline. Both will cost approximately $500 but if it saves you one time it pays for itself.

PS - I have an escort 9500 (one step below the redline) and I haven't had a single ticket in my 335. You may be a more spirited driver than I am, but a radar detector should help you keep your license (once the 60 days are up)

Not sure a horsepower increase is what the doctor ordered given the circumstances, but enjoy it in a couple of months.

True for city driving, or areas where cops don't use laser...Where I live, the radar detector just gives you a false sense of security.
