Generic ship tracking
There are lots of sites for tracking the WW ships. Where can I track other ships like NYK ships? I can google the ship I'm on and get some stats but I'd like to see maps, cams, etc. if possible.

i found Green Bay here: http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/index.html
but when its in the Atlantic Sea, unless you have access to spy satellites, you will not be able to track her.

fleetmon.com, marinetraffic.com and sailwx.info all show pretty much the same ships. Only some have a different area where they work

Note: Many PM me for links to the software needed to code. Please note that I do not have download links to this software. Your best bet is using the search function in the coding thread |

I used marine traffic and fleetmon, but the fleetmon app required a subscription on my iphone. The marine traffic app costs 3.99, but it seems to be unlimited although you need to register. Fleetmon on the computer looks more detailed in the Live View mode, but you only get 5 free minutes per day.
I think that the port cams are reserved for the bigger ports. I didn't have any luck accessing these. |
