Alfa Romeo 8C Spider
1 of 35, out of 500 for the World...but we all know production numbers often end up being higher than originally planned. But Fiat/Alpha/Ferrari/Maserati may hold the line on this one.
Nice car either way. Asking price $310k USD

That's a difficult choice The Spider doesn't look bad with the top up or down. So I might have to agree with having the best of both worlds. Then again the 8C Coupe/Competizione looks totally unique

I sat in one of these at the Frankfurt Motor Show a few years back and I discovered that I didn't fit (I'm 6'4"). The top of the windshield was at my eye-level, making visibility a little bit of an issue, lol, and the roof wouldn't have been able to close as my head would have been in the way. Now, I didn't have time to fiddle with the seat, as it took some convincing them just to let me sit in the rotating display model. My friend told them I was loaded and was in the market for an expensive car, and being I was kinda dressed the part at the time, they bought it, lol. But yeah, even if were true I couldn't fit in the damn thing.

300K for a 440bhp Italian job, no thanks. I would much rather have a 458 Spider Ferrari or Lamborghini for that price. Alfa will always be third fiddle.

I first read $30K and was like that's a nice car for a good price. Then looked again and saw the extra 0. Who in their right mind would pay that for an Alpha? Nice car but not for that price. The exterior and interior honestly make it look like a $30K car to me.

Black/Saddle definitely works on this car I think I still would have to go for the 458 - But under the right circumstances why not both

I like how Clarkson says " you can hear one coming from 20 miles away"

Definitely one of the best looking cars of my lifetime and one of my all time favorites. Not a fan of convertibles in general but in coupe form this car is sex on wheels. I'm in Italy as I write this and love seeing Alfa's on a daily basis. Why the MiTo was not brought to the US is a mystery as it is one of the hottest hatches ever. Bellisimo!

You know why the LFA cost so much? Because it was developped from a clean sheat of paper, and is produced to only 500 units. There are even more units of Carrera GT, Enzo and MC12. The same goes for the Alfa, it is based on a Maserati, but is still very exclusive, only 500 of each. Unfortunately Sergio Marchionne only gives money to Ferrari, and leaves Maserati and Alfa Romeo in the dust, not giving them enough resources for building good production cars, when they bring something worthy, it then ends up overpriced. Afterall Ferrari also are "cheap" in quality, and unreliable. Much worse than any German brand, Porsche is leader now. Even the Lexus LFA is more reliable and of better quality, fit and finish than any Ferrari.
$300K not, but $100 would be the right price. If it was priced like that it would be a better choice than a 911 Carrera S or an R8. Just as if the LFA was priced at $200K instead of $400K it would be a better choice than 911 Turbo, R8 V10, Gallardo, 458 Italia or MP4-12C. |

FWIW, there are only 400 Enzos and 50 MC12s, however there are nearly 1,300 CGTs
