Quick oil question?

What oil brand and weight do most of you use? I have put about 4000 miles on my car since owning it and would like to change the oil a little more often then BMW's intervals, maybe every 5000 miles. Does anybody see a reason to change it at even shorter intervals? I know these engines really put some stress on their oil, so just wanted to get others opinions on a good quality synthetic oil to use. Thanks

"BMW High Performance SAE 5W-30 Synthetic Oil" (BMW part number 07 51 0 017 866)
You will need 6.5-7qt, and the oil filter set that includes gaskets and washers.

You can get 5 liter jug of either one at Walmart for around $35 bucks.

You can also use AmSoil or Royal purple. They both have 0W30 which is better for cold starts.

I use mobil 1 0w-40. I believe its better for the cold starts, as well as the 110°F degree weather here in AZ...
