discussion of Canadian Navi system

guys, I found our canadian navigation system doesnt come with the traffic information function. Is that true that bmw just provide this function to the U.S customers?

RTTI service is not yet available in Canada. Period. It's not up to BMW.

The question I'd like answered is, is the function/hardware in the car and active if you cross the border?

I've heard it's only available in Europe, but that would have to be confirmed/infirmed.

RTTI uses RDS to receive the data and are cars are already capable of receiving RDS (you see the song name on the radio etc).

I would imagine this data is also transmitted to the NAV computer as they are the same?

unfortunately real time traffic information isn't avail up in Canada. In the states is there

BMW and Acura both have RTT enabled navs (i think Porsche too)
