leasing so no.
FYI you really have to keep the clear bra clean and waxed. Otherwise it gets caked with bugs that don't come off. the good thing is thr you can remove the clear bra and the good is like new |

I will not.
I will get this film instead... Depending on the quote from my friend I may do the whole car but worst case it will be the whole front ...

I probably will. I didnt on my current daily driver and I have to fill in 4-5 chips a month in the front of the car. And it has a black plastic bumper in front, if that was paint, double that number.
If you purchased the car to own, and plan on keeping it at least 6 years, its a decent investment compared to a respray. |

I always lease and get the clear bra. Especially here in Fl. with the love bugs.
Piece of mind.

Got mine done the day after my PCD. Full coverage front end, door cups, door edges, and the lip on the back bumper at the trunk.
Chuforia Graphix in Atlanta Georgia did a phenominal job. It's awesome, you can't even tell it's there without getting 3'' from the car. This is on a Black car, so that's saying something.

Still thinking about it. What are people paying for it?

I paid 790.00 for the front bumper, fenders, quarter of hood, mirrors, headlights, foglights, and full rocker panels.

Full coverage here. Full front bumper, headlights, full front fenders, and full hood, door edges, door cups (where your hands go to open door), and the rear bumper where the trunk is.
My guy was using high end XPEL, but said they had some issues w/ it, so they are now using SunTek. it's extremely clear and slick and zero orange peel. Listed price on full coverage as I got is ~2200.00 (it's WAY more than 1/4 coverage as it is about 10x the work) But it looks better b/c you can't see it. Prices will range heavily. The guys I used have a large electronic cutitng machine and XPEL has the patterns, so no cutting done on the car. To me it's important that a razor blade doesn't snuggle w/ my paint.

Now that over half a year has elapsed since the last post on this thread; can anyone chime in on their results with various brands of PPF. I've been given the option of XPEL and Suntek and I'm debating on which one to get but would like some real world feedback before I make my decision.

I put Xpell film on my side skirt by the door sills as I hate scuffs there but to cover almost the whole car is a bit too much even by my standard(not to mention the cost) and I'm pretty OTT guy when it comes to protecting my car, also if you miss some panels you probably end up having chips there like we got some few months old cars on the pitch with chips on the A-pillars or on the roof just above the windscreen.

I had it on my 2 e92s and S5 and tt. It works pretty good for lovebugs and rocks. I'm leasing this time, so I don't care as much.
