AC blowing hot air

Today I went for a 20 min drive and set the ac to 70 but the car blew 90 degree air the entire way..... Any ideas what to do?

press the snowflake button on the right side of the dash. it should light up green

It does but still blows hot air...... and their is a whining noise when it is on full blast

Check the wheel on the center console if it's pointing to cold or hot most common mistake.

My wifes did the "whinning" noise and blew hot and the A/C evaporator
Went out.

You are low on refrigerant. At a minimum, have the system recharged and checked for leaks.
