Ski Hatch

Hi,

I have a 320D saloon on a 08 plate on a SE spec but whats really annoying me is the back seats dont fold down.

I was thinking since the back seat arm rest folds down, to cut the metal section and had a ski hatch or some sort latch

Has any one done this or know if the required parts are available to do such a thing or even if it is possible.

Thanks

It's a pain isn't it!

The stupid thing is; I have more loading space in my coupe (as fold down seats are standard) than my previous saloon (as it was only an option)

I've think I've read of people retrofitting the fold down seats, but you'd obviously need to find the new rear seats to do this.

theres a set on ebay here - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E90-3-...item256b498508

bit steep for SE seats though. also you will need new release latches

i tried getting a set for mine but gave up in the end. i just removed the latches and i take the whole bench out when i need to carry something large

I was more thinking of just cutting out the metal section that leads to the arm rest and getting some kind of hatch to cover the hole, although the arm rest will cover the hole something along those lines rather than replacing the entrie back seats. Has anyone just cut the hole in the back seat to make a hatch?
