To all you "racers"
i hope you grow a brain and think about what you're doing and the chain reaction you can cause with your reckless $hit.
http://www.thestar.com/News/article/226630 the drivers weren't in bimmers but the article is still valid. |

not sayin street racing is okay but, its okay. who the fuck swerves a truck??? Thats retarded. one quick jilt of the steering wheel can jack knife a truck to shit. Who tries to swerve a truck?
seriously tho, as with anything, people should always recognize limits.

youre an idiot. "he hit a center divider becuase the mustang cut him off" what part of a truck is NOT supposed to swerve dont you fuckin understand? i dont care if your mother cut him off, a truck needs to stay straight or risk the lives of everyone behind and around him on the highway. So if it means hitting the fuck out of your mother, he better do it or else hes riskin more lives. furthermore, 2 or 3 speeding cars were mentioned. Now if a car is fuckin speeding that means hes goin over the speed limit. if the truck is doing the speed limit, then the mustang pulls in front and speeds off. not even a need for brakes let alone wiping out the center divider and swerving back to the right side. Use that orbiting lil brain cell of yours for more then calling names. idiot

a truck is supposed to stay straight. if someone cuts em off, hes WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better off hitting the person that cut him off then trying to avoid it by swerving and/or heavy breaking. hands down, wrong move. The guys dead, its tragic. But a wrong move is a wrong move.

And it's a good thing he didn't bring anyone down with him either. Sometimes playing hero is not the safest bet. It's a good thing none else was hurt and the petrol did not ignite. .RIP. |

as a matter of fact, if he hadnt swerved to the right like he did, imagine how many people would have died. now think about it... should he have swerved into the center divider initially or should he have hit the mustang? (no proof the mustang didnt cut him off and take off)

Anyway, I don't know how long you have been driving, but I can pretty much guess your driving experience can be counted with two (2) hands. A truck this size and tolling with this much cargo on the back doesn't need too much sway on the steering wheel and/or a sudden reduction in speed to have the whole thing go out of control.

Second, "The Crash Today - Three speeding cars including a black Ford Mustang and a green Pontiac cut in front of an empty tanker trunk, causing the truck to swerve into the centre median guardrail. " the truck was empty. 3rd... you said the same thing i did, KEEP THE TRUCK STRAIGHT. Dont suddenly brake or swerve. Which he did. Thats how he hit the divider.

The high center of gravity and zeor-tolerance on body roll makes these trucks extremely accident-prone. As you pointed out, having an empty tanker helps a bit (but not enought to avoid the sway). In fact, the empty tanker may be the primary reason the driver was able to "correct" the error by diverting the truck to the right side of the highway. The only escape for the truck driver in this case is keeping the truck straight and pray not to hit the "racers" (which I doubted since the driver needed to apply the brakes). Once the impact occurs, the same thing (or worse) will happen.

Let's just all calm down. Let's give the dead man a moment of silent rather than arguing amongst ourselves. We don't have all the facts, do we?
