E90 Lci xenon headlight help

Hi there guys,

I have a e90 lci which has halogen headlights and am doing conversion to xenon headlights.

So I have brought the headlight and the bulbs for it and the ballast came today.

So what I want to know is that, as I plug the one of the xenon headlights in just the angel eyes came on and the led indicator. But not the xenon, so does it need coding to come on or should come on with out coding. I know the head light needs coding.

So does the xenon need coding to just come on?

Thanks all the help would be appreciated

Yes you will require coding.

And to tell you further, it is not that easy.

I could give it a try if you live near to me.

(Keep an eye on classified section, as I will be selling my laptop with softwares including coding and if you can learn little bit, this kit is going to be ideal for anybody).

All the best.

Garage List
I did the xenon retrofit 3 weeks ago and you will also need level sensors and these will need wiring into the frm3 on your car and then the coding.

how much did you give for the lights out of interest if you dont mind me asking, you can p.m if you prefer.

What about LED markers? Where are they in the photos? Did you buy them separately?

You need coding plus wiring, you have to add ground to harness plus combine two pins together to get your xenon shutter work if not you wont have high beams. I've done prelci halogen to lci xenon to my car and several others

How about coding only and making halogen one as high beam.
I am under the impression that you do not require wiring alteration.

With the lights he has he has no choise as the inner bulb is the cornering lights. Its either make the shutter work or no high beams

Correct, LCI lamps have no halogen high beams, so connecting pin from shutter and old pin from highbeam halogen is required for having high beams as bixenon. Plus you need to add ground to it as i mention before.

thats my baby :

Everything is working but shutter have some problems since after about few seconds it starts to shake up and down a bit ( you can see it only on wall in fron from near - not on the road) and i still cand do anything about it.

But beam pattern and light output is far more better than my previous prelci enons :

and far more better that stock halogen i have after bought the car :

Yeah it seems very confusing to be honest mate.
But I like the lights on your car it looks so much better then the halogen headlights. Did you do all your work on your headlight your self.

Cheers
