Tinting in Ottawa?

I called around a bunch of places, and was dissapointed with the results. Too much for quality stuff. THen I found a friend of a friend that does mobile tinting (mainly with dealers and such). Actually, he is dating my Otto's CA's sister or something. He did it at my 323i at my house for $180, 25% with Llumar Film.

Would you be able to post any pics of the results?

I'm going to Toronto next week for a few days and I think if I can't find anything decent in Ottawa I may just try to get it done in there. But the only thing that worries me is that if something goes wrong I'm not close to the tint shop ...

My Camera is on the fritz, it may take a day or two for me to get decent pics. Actually, where in the Ottawa Area are you? I'm in Kanata, if your nearby you can just check it out in person.

I'm in New Edinburgh ... although seeing as I just picked up my car on Tuesday, I'm more than willing to drive out to Kanata to check it out in person.

Hm, this weekend isn't really a great time. I drive a cab part time at nights, and with it being the Canada Day long weekend, I'm going to be putting in 14+ Hour shifts overnight and sleeping days. How big of a rush are you in? How's, say, Tuesday?

Hm, I have class at OttawaU at 7pm, want to just meet there around 6-6:15ish? I'll be in Lot X, so if you come in off King Edward, use the entrance parralell to Somerset, go all the way to the end, make a right, and the lot will be on your left. Just look for the SG E90 and I'll do the same.

I'm curious about this too ... There were some slight touch-ups that had to be done on Desi's car, but I havn't seen it since.

The above discussion is quite old, so perhaps there are some new options? I'm also interested in getting some tint in my new-to-me 3 series.

I was going to "Goldwing" but I did not like their pricing structure. A fellow member in this forum had his M3 done and suggested "Shades".
Shades is located at 18-174 Colonade Rd, and his PH # 613-226-8471.
He has done a lot of BMW's (including mine and a few others in this forum)and he does ALL MB from Star Motors.
If you are looking for excellent, personalized service call him and ask for Alex.( he is the owner as it is a one man operation).

I dropped mine around 9:30 and picked it up at 12:30. He was working on yours when I arrived
