Getting rid of the 3....
Hey guys, i need to get rid of my 328 due to some financial issues, but that means i need to find a replacement. I was thinking about getting a 2013 hyundai genesis coupe 2.0t, what do you guys think? Any other suggestions in that price range?

You have a CL550 as a weekend car and you're getting rid of a 328i under warranty? Wouldn't a trip to the dealer for the CL cost more than a year's payments for the 3er? Is a Genesis Coupe any less than your 3er is worth now?
If you don't really need a backseat, I'd much prefer a BRZ or a Miata to the Genesis. |

I just came from a 2010 2.0T GT.
It's a nice car, but the Hyundai quality is still there, obviously. You might want to do some research on the 2013's. Fom what I have been reading on the forum I used to frequent on there are some problems/issues that the 2013 owners are dealing with...one is the cruise control would just shut off...

Your words, not mine: Anyway, that's pretty sweet that the CL is paid off. So my suggestion would be to sell it if you're having financial issues. Not hating, just giving you what you asked for, which were my thoughts. Have a nice day. |

No prob.
Gencoupe.com. Go to the General Discussion section, you will see quite a few threads created on issues with the 2013's. Edit: I found the thread that I came across about the cruise control just shutting off: http://www.gencoupe.com/general-disc...ing-apart.html But like I said, before doing the purchase, check out the general discussion section to get info on the 2013's.

Yeah their pretty impressive. Once they come out with some tunes for the 2.0t, it should be a quick little car.

If you really have financial issues then get rid of both cars. A warranty on the CL doesn't mean free maintenance. Driving a more frugal and practical car (like an Acura TSX or Honda Accord, etc.) won't dent your big fat ego. In fact it will show smart people that you're being smart, and that you value money by not sinking it into depreciating money holes like fancy cars (esp the CL which is dropping in value every minute of the day like a heavy rock in deep water.)
If you are in a financial bind you need to wake up and smell the roses. Having cars that make you look good but with no real money in the bank is like wearing a big cowboy hat and having no cattle. Sorry but I'm sick of this bs of irresponsible people underwater all the time. Yeah, "shit happens" because you let it happen...... |
