Slam,

You might want to also add this link for live streaming. It is in German though. RTL is the main channel in Germany that shows F1 Live. They do not show P1-P2, but I think they show P3, qual, and definetly the race. It does show some commercials but you can see the race pretty well.

New layout since 2010, and new paddock and pit lane, garage facility since 2011.

I think Hamilton and Button would really try hard to win their home GP. I would still like to see Raikkonen take a win

Sam Michael is in charge. Mclaren always had a fantastic pit crew. This year they are suddenly horrific. Witness Williams-BMW before Sam Michael was promoted to technical director in '04. Then witness how they were while he was the man in charge (Google:FW26). Sam Michael was fired from Williams in 2011, and now in 2012 they're once again showing good form. I see a pattern developing here...

Really? The only corner I miss is Bridge, but the new turn 1/turn 2 section kind of makes up for it. This layout also gives you a second genuine overtaking spot.

In my opinion, in comparison to other circuit revisions, this new layout is an actual improvement, at least. The one that still irks me the most is Hockenheim; they ruined one of the iconic circuits in the world, and turned it into a kart track.

In case anyone is wondering what were talking about

OLD:

NEW:

Ive personally driven the new version of the course - and dont get me wrong its a lot of fun. But, I really dont like changing up courses. Silverstone is, or was, a high speed circuit with only two real slow sections. But with the new section they tried to slow it down. I get why they did it. But you shouldnt mess with the classic layouts.

I want Spa to be 26 miles again. ld man rant:

Jense always does lousy here. That combined with a lousy season thus far... I'm expecting him to be knocked out in Q1.

The new layout may be more fun for spectators but is less fun to drive.

But I agree with you on the Hockenheim redesign being a tragedy. It was the equivalent of knifing a supermodels face, and then burning her on top of that just to destroy any remaining vestige of beauty. A desecration of a work of art.

The new hockenheim ring is so bad, they should move the German grand prix back to Nurburgring.
