You mean, you don't like the sound and hope that it will change ? In this case...no...

Since it's used, chances are that it's already broken in

It is kind of like having a sex with non virgin girl, she was already broken in by someone. If you don't like the sound she makes, time for different one.

What's wrong with it? Vibrant resonators usually fix the noise rasp.

You'll want to take it easy for the first 1,000 miles so the muffler bearings seat properly.

Don't rev the car over 2K to 2.5K for the first 5000 miles on a newly acquired exhaust!

The car's DME has to get used to the freer flow exhaust and make adjustments to timing and fuel accordingly. Boost will go up 2-3 psi too!

Since you bought the exhaust used, there is no break in period. HOWEVER, if you do by a new exhaust, you should also not rev it for at least 5 years. You don't want to overheat the glass pack in the muffler section. If you do, your exhaust will DRONE!

Other than that, enjoy your new exhaust system.

Uh... no. Just no. Seriously.

How bad is it that I can't tell if someone is posting this thread as a serious question or not on this forum?

The tone changes

My PE exhaust sounded much better after a few hundred miles than when I first drive off

Really seemed to settle after 1k maybe 2k

His is already most likely broken in. Since it was used

Not sure what u meant by the whole serious comment
