235/40/18 Tyres on Rear MV3's
Hi guys,
I'm looking for some advice. Been offered a pretty sweet deal on a set of 235/40/18 winter tyres, and was looking at putting them on my MV3's as a winter set. I have 225/40/18's for the front already, but was wondering if I can get away with these 235's on the rear. I realise that they are a bit narrower than normal, so a bit of stretch, but the 40 profile means only a little out on overall diameter (I believe around 1.7% or something according to the calculator above). Will this be okay? Bearing in mind the driving style will be relaxed during the winter months anyway. Cheers. |

I run exactly that. 235/40/18 Vredestein wintracs all round on my MV3s as a winter setup. The rear has a little stretch being staggered but worked flawlessly in the snow/ice

Now to order some plastidip for the wheels. They have just been refurbed, so being coated in plastidip should help keep the proper mank off them while they are in storage, and help protect against the salt when they come out. Now the problem will be running bridgestone RFT winters on the front, and conti normal winters on the rear. |
