Big Wheel beats 2008 M3 in August Motoren

Sad but true, something about the Big Wheels stiff suspension, turning radius, sticker kits, 12 pound weight and low center of gravity gave it the win over Munich's newest supercoupe.

Yeah, it sucks, but now I'm considering a Big Wheel and hoping Vishnu or Lance Armstrong comes out with some aftermarket mods.

The good news was that the RS4 was a distant third.

Author was named Elmo, think he races German Touring Car Series.

Ya but the M3 has a usable back seat...
I think this competes more with the hard core csl since it has no A/C.

I've heard that these run-flats compromise the ride quality. But where would you put the spare?

That interior is far superior to the M3.

I think it would be fair to say that this is the final nail in the coffin for the BMW RWD philosophy.

Of course.

M3 E92 - the worst M3 ever.

Even Lincoln drives better.

I also hear voices from Russia saying "Even our Lada is better!"

BMW AG will dive into the red numbers, and the Quandts will be forced to sell the stake their in BMW to Brilliance China Auto.

Sad news indeed.

PS: focus on Big Wheels' steering - it must be amazing since it has 1:1 steering ratio!!! Excellent steering feel, and extremely good road feedback! A real winner!

Not a fair comparison. It is obvious from the picture that the Big Wheel has R compound tires.

Just look at that short stroke crank - even Big Wheel knows that high rpms is where it's at. They beat BMW at their own game! Glad to see they have retained the all too familiar 3 position seating.

I just read online that they're coming out with a Big Wheel CSL - Carbon Fiber roof, boot lid and hood. Recaro seat, Alcantara handles, and brake handle.

I always wanted to see the video of a race between the two. I think is going to be pretty close, obviously a driver's race.
