I searched these boards extensively, so if this has already been posted, my apologies.

I have recently made the decision to go with a 335i M Sport, and incidentally can't purchase for a couple of months. It makes sense to order so that I get the new iDrive that's due in November production. When will dealers be given their allocations for November production vehicles? When can I order?

Thanks. So if I want to order for November production, I can do so at the end of any month (prior to November)? Or would it be the end of the month immediately before November (ie, October)?

My dealer told me I must order before october 2 for November production. (Norway).

At least here in Sweden you can order anytime you want and just tell them you want november production and they will give you first available slot slot for that.

Thanks guys for the info. Anyone know if this is the same in the US?

Went to a local dealer this weekend and told him I wanted November production and he basically threw up his hands and said he can't order for November at this point and will let me know when he can. Based on feedback thus far that I have received from this board inquiry, it sounds like he's giving me a line....

Why is BMW switching out iDrive part-way through the model year? What's new or better about it? Thanks!

My bad...it's not an all new iDrive, it's an updated Navigation system, plus some other features not found in pre-November production F30 vehicles. Many threads on it on this board, but no information about when one could place an order so as to get this upgraded system.

From the responses I've received thus far, it appears that my CA could go ahead and enter an order into the system *now* and request November production. Is that true? My CA told me he can't order for November yet. Is that merely because he doesn't have any allocations available now?

Even if he can't put the actual order in with BMW it shouldn't be a problem for them just reserving the first november slot for you?
